Senior Android Engineer

About the role

SMG Swiss Marketplace Group is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join its fast‑moving mobile team. You will help shape the future of the Tutti and Anibis Android applications, working in a collaborative, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end Android features using Kotlin.
• Contribute to the overall mobile architecture, including data layers, state management, and modularization.
• Participate in thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, iOS, and backend teams.
• Drive the ongoing migration to Jetpack Compose and improve app performance and maintainability.
• Share knowledge through technical discussions and best‑practice sessions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production Android applications with Kotlin.
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose and shipping real features.
• Strong understanding of clean architecture principles.
• Experience designing or evolving data layers, including repositories, caching, and error handling.
• Proficiency with Kotlin Coroutines, Flows, and REST APIs.
