Senior Backend Engineer (Python) – Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong data‑engineering experience to join our Platform team and help build high‑load, scalable systems that process hundreds of millions of records daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Python services handling 200‑400 M+ records per day.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, normalization, deduplication and backfills.
• Implement integrations with multiple external channels using a unified, channel‑agnostic data model and API.
• Ensure data quality, validation, reconciliation and monitoring of freshness and completeness.
• Improve system reliability, observability and cost efficiency, and rewrite legacy components with modern technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of raw SQL and deep understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience building micro‑service architectures and scaling them.
• Proficiency with modern CI/CD pipelines and development process improvement.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes at scale.
