Senior Rust Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Rust Developer to join Workato’s engineering team. You will help build new products, write high‑performance Rust code and collaborate with existing Go and Ruby services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship new features using Rust.
• Maintain and extend existing Go/Ruby codebases.
• Create proofs‑of‑concept for emerging areas and move successful ones to production.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver high‑throughput, asynchronous applications.

Required profile

• Fluent English sufficient for technical interviews and daily collaboration.
• Self‑motivated, result‑oriented problem solver who proposes solutions.
• Comfortable working remotely with globally distributed teams.
• Willingness to travel for business when needed.

Required skills

• 2+ years of professional Rust development, including async programming (Tokio).
• Experience with other languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, JavaScript or Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, memory management and multiprocessing.
• Knowledge of network protocols and stacks.
• Familiarity with relational databases and modern NoSQL stores.
• Basic DevOps practices and Linux environment.
• Optional: Golang/Ruby, WebAssembly, open‑source contributions.
