Senior Software Engineer – C++

About the role

ABBYY is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Vantage engineering team. You will help build and evolve the cloud‑native services that power ABBYY’s Document AI platform, delivering reliable, scalable solutions for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy new features and services for the Vantage platform, including document processing pipelines, AI skill management and API layers.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested C++ code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, ML engineers and other developers to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing services, tooling and delivery workflows to reduce technical debt.
• Monitor service health, investigate and resolve production incidents promptly.
• Stay up‑to‑date with advances in Document AI, cloud‑native patterns and generative AI integrations.

Required profile

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a quality‑first mindset.
• Proven experience delivering reliable, scalable software in a cloud‑native environment.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative, cross‑functional team.

Required skills

• C++ programming.
• Cloud‑native development (microservices architecture).
• Experience with Azure services, including Azure OpenAI integration.
• API design and implementation.
• Understanding of OCR and Document AI concepts.
