Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to join our System/Network Operations Team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining both Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows Server services (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, File Services) and Linux servers.
• Manage user accounts, access rights and security policies.
• Design, implement and optimise high‑performance, highly available server infrastructure, including capacity planning.
• Administer virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware) and contribute to overall architecture.
• Monitor system performance, analyse logs and troubleshoot server/application incidents.
• Manage backup and disaster‑recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam) and perform regular restore tests.
• Implement and maintain security mechanisms in line with defined standards.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash or similar scripting.
• Collaborate with network, security and IT support teams to ensure stability and security.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware) and backup/recovery tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation.
• Familiarity with EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon) and basic networking concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
