Server Developer (World of Tanks Console)

About the role

Wargaming is looking for a Server Developer to join the World of Tanks Console team. You will work on high‑performance server components, improve the existing technology stack, and help deliver new game modes for millions of players.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance (memory and execution time) in‑game server components using C++ and Python.
• Improve and extend the current technology stack and tooling.
• Integrate and maintain dozens of auxiliary services such as payment, authentication, and analytics.
• Write automated tests to ensure reliability of server functionality.
• Collaborate on the creation of new game modes and server‑side logic.

Required profile

• Professional experience in commercial software development.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python development.
• Understanding of design patterns and experience with asynchronous/multithreaded programming.
• Familiarity with CPU and memory concepts, profiling, and optimization.
• Experience working on Linux systems.
• Knowledge of databases, message brokers, and basic networking (TCP/UDP).
