Static Equipment Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

Messer is seeking a Static Equipment Engineer to join its Corporate Engineering Team in Serbia. The role involves planning, executing, and commissioning a range of static equipment for air separation units and gas generators.

Key responsibilities

• Project planning, technical bid comparison, execution and commissioning of flat‑bottom tanks, pressure vessels, cryogenic vacuum tanks and vaporizer systems.
• Overall responsibility for cost, quality and on‑time delivery of the vessel scope.
• Develop and maintain technical standards for ASU plants and generators.
• Participate in HAZOP reviews.
• Prepare budget estimates and cost calculations for the equipment.

Required profile

• Completed training as a Certified Industrial Master/Technician (metal discipline) or a degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in piping and plant engineering or maintenance of gas production plants.
• Experience with cryogenic systems and equipment.
• Welding Specialist/Engineer (IWS) qualification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of European standards, ASME and API is desirable.
• Authorized person for pressure equipment is a plus.
• Business‑fluent English; German is a plus.
