About the role
Mott MacDonald is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its Energy Networks team. The role supports civil and structural design for power generation, high‑voltage (HV) substations, HVDC converter stations, and HV cable projects across the global energy transition.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare drawings for planning applications and tender packages.
- Carry out detailed civil and structural design work.
- Coordinate design activities across multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop technical specifications for projects.
- Assess existing structures for condition and suitability for reuse.
Required profile
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Some experience in the areas outlined in the role overview.
- Willingness to engage with new challenges and learn on the job.
- Good written communication and report‑writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities for teamwork.
Required skills
- Preparation of technical drawings.
- Detailed civil/structural design.
