Supply Chain Administrator

About the role

GEODIS is seeking a Supply Chain Administrator to manage the end‑to‑end logistics process, from vendor communication and transport planning to carrier pick‑up and delivery. The role ensures that customer purchase orders are processed on time, with the correct documentation, and that transit times align with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer orders, plan and execute deliveries by selecting the most cost‑effective carrier based on price, value and delivery time.
• Monitor and adjust transport modes and service levels throughout the order lifecycle to meet planned or changed delivery dates.
• Issue orders to carriers, defining route, mode of transport, cost and urgency.
• Provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders on order status, milestones and any potential delays.
• Maintain information flow between carriers, vendors, warehouses and customers in the US region.
• Track shipments, update systems and reports, and keep customers informed according to agreements.
• Handle communication with suppliers and ensure responses meet agreed timelines.
• Follow up on transport defects, document root causes and corrective actions.
• Validate orders for invoicing and support finance with invoice verification.
• Support peak periods, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end activities, including logistics cut‑offs and reporting.
• Manage exceptions, claims, escalations and vendor engagement through regular follow‑up calls.

Required profile

• Experience in managing customer orders and coordinating transport planning.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, carrier selection and documentation requirements.
• Ability to communicate proactively with clients, carriers and internal teams.
• Attention to detail for order validation, reporting and issue resolution.
