System Engineer – UEM/MDM (Microsoft Intune)

About the role

Magna IT is seeking a System Engineer specialized in Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) to support and enhance Microsoft Intune across the organization. The role involves ensuring secure, reliable operation of the platform in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support Magna IT’s Microsoft 365 services, focusing on Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.
• Provide technical support for Intune, associated Group Policy Objects, and on‑premises Active Directory.
• Review global device compliance and assist local IT teams to meet compliance goals.
• Evaluate and adjust UEM/MDM system settings, policies, and hardware.
• Create configuration profiles, compliance policies, and GPOs.
• Collaborate with MIT members on projects and drive adoption with Divisional IT admins.
• Handle 2nd and 3rd level user tickets, participate in on‑call rotation, and deliver timely issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent technical college education.
• 2‑3 years of experience managing and configuring UEM/MDM systems, preferably Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with mobile device management for iOS, Android, and Windows 11 clients.

Required skills

• Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID.
• Group Policy Objects (GPO) and on‑prem Active Directory.
• Device compliance monitoring and configuration profile creation.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of iOS, Android, and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
