TW Project Technical Manager

About the role

Alstom is seeking a TW Project Technical Manager to lead the technical contractual scope of the Track Works (TW) sub‑system on a major rail infrastructure project. The role ensures delivery of the TW solution in line with quality, cost, performance and schedule commitments while coordinating with the Project Manager and other engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the technical contractual scope of the TW sub‑system and ensure customer acceptance.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, raise and manage variation orders when scope evolves.
• Validate design choices, ensure compliance with local regulations, and oversee customization to meet QCDP commitments.
• Capture and address all technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track and register technical changes using the project configuration‑management tool.
• Lead design and engineering activities, including coordination with Earthing & Bonding, track embankment, civil works, acoustics, noise and vibration interfaces.
• Prepare and conduct TW design reviews and define verification & validation criteria.
• Provide BOM/BOQ, allocate tasks to the engineering team, and ensure adherence to engineering processes and tools.

Required profile

• Proven ability to functionally lead a technical engineering team on rail infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing contractual scope, variation orders and technical risk mitigation.
• Strong understanding of rail‑related standards, regulations and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Capability to coordinate transversal engineering activities and ensure quality, cost, delivery and performance targets.
