General Ledger & Reporting Team Leader

About the role

As a General Ledger & Reporting Team Leader at Kuehne+Nagel you will oversee the Accounting and Reporting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with corporate finance guidelines and timely delivery of month‑end and year‑end statements. You will lead a team of professionals, driving their development while safeguarding assets and supporting the company’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Corporate Finance and Accounting guidelines and IFRS standards.
• Coordinate daily activities of the Accounting and Reporting department, meeting month‑end, year‑end and major project deadlines.
• Identify control gaps, assess risks and recommend enhancements to the Internal Control System.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes.
• Prepare, review and analyse statutory financial statements, tax computations and statutory books.
• Manage audits, coordinate with external consultants and ensure timely submission of statutory accounts.
• Recruit, onboard and develop accounting staff, setting performance goals and providing training.
• Support transfer‑pricing reconciliation and related intercompany transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIA preferred.
• 3‑5 years of accounting and reporting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• People‑management experience.
