Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services

About the role

Arup Serbia is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical building services across complex multidisciplinary projects in Serbia, the Balkans and internationally. You will work with architects, engineers and consultants to deliver sustainable, energy‑efficient solutions that positively impact communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical building services systems from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Collaborate with architects, multidisciplinary engineers and project managers to achieve integrated design outcomes.
• Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, specifications and documentation in line with Arup standards.
• Support project delivery teams, coordinate inputs and mentor junior engineers.
• Engage with clients, contractors and stakeholders, providing expert technical advice.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and growth of Arup’s presence in Southeast Europe.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 8‑10 years of experience in electrical building services design on medium to large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of international and local design standards and regulations.
• Proven experience leading design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Fluency in English and Serbian.
