Quality Control Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Our client, a leading project management consultancy operating across the Western Balkans, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead and coordinate quality activities on complex residential and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate quality control activities on behalf of the Consultant and Technical Supervision team.
• Establish, implement and monitor project quality procedures and requirements.
• Monitor the quality of works, materials and workmanship, including contractor and subcontractor compliance.
• Review and approve Quality Plans, ITPs, method statements, materials and technical submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and participate in testing, acceptance, commissioning and handover activities.
• Identify non‑conformities, issue NCRs and monitor corrective actions through closure.
• Maintain quality records and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
• Coordinate quality‑related matters with the client, contractors, designers and other project participants.
• Report on quality performance, risks and key issues and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction, technical supervision or QA/QC, preferably on complex residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, materials and workmanship requirements.
• Experience in consultancy, supervision, senior QA/QC and/or FIDIC‑based projects is an advantage.
• BSc in Civil Engineering or Architecture; MSc is a plus.
• Fluent English with strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; experience with project/document management systems is a plus.
