Finance Analyst – IT Projects

About the role

Magna is seeking a Finance Analyst – IT Projects for its Belgrade location. The role supports financial planning, execution, and governance of IT projects across the organization, providing essential insights and ensuring data accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial oversight of small and medium‑size IT projects (fixed price, T&M, internal), including forecasting, cost/time tracking, and variance analysis.
• Support project financial administration by creating, validating, and maintaining project codes, cost centers, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and project structure changes.
• Lead billing governance by validating billing inputs, resolving discrepancies, coordinating urgent postings, and acting as the finance contact for billing inquiries.
• Execute financial controls for project accruals, monitor the purchase order lifecycle, perform balance‑sheet and P&L reconciliations, and handle project closing activities and variance reporting.
• Partner with IT project managers and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate project financials, provide status updates, support global project reviews, and facilitate strong communication across divisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• CPA designation or working towards one is preferred.
• 3‑4 years of experience in accounting, project accounting, or related finance roles.
• Experience supporting IT projects is advantageous.
