Production Team Leader

About the role

The Production Team Leader is responsible for directing daily production activities to meet output targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules. This role ensures smooth material flow, equipment readiness, and a safe work environment while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the production team to achieve daily production goals and adhere to FIFO principles.
• Monitor material, component, and finished‑goods flow according to the production plan.
• Collaborate with other production leaders and cross‑functional teams during shift handovers and meetings.
• Oversee machine, tool, and safety device condition; report equipment issues to Maintenance.
• Assign tasks based on team members’ competencies and production needs.
• Track employee performance, provide coaching, support development plans, and take part in performance evaluations.
• Conduct shift meetings, communicate goals, and assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
• Prepare shift reports and contribute to Kaizen, Lean, and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Operate internal transport equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and lifting platforms where authorized.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Fire Protection, and company regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience leading production teams.
• Experience in an automated manufacturing setting is a strong advantage.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement methodologies is beneficial.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• At least a secondary‑level education (IV), preferably technical sciences.
• Fluent in Serbian and basic English, with computer literacy.
