Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer

About the role

Social Discovery Group is a global leader in social discovery platforms, building online‑communication services for diverse audiences. We are looking for a Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer to manage and evolve our Jira and Confluence environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Jira Server / Data Center, Confluence, and Atlassian Cloud environments.
• Configure and support workflows, permissions, dashboards, JQL, automations, integrations, and plugins.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve platform stability.
• Perform maintenance, upgrades, housekeeping, and incident resolution.
• Reduce configuration debt and improve governance.
• Automate routine tasks using ScriptRunner, REST API and scripting.
• Collaborate with Infra, SRE, DBA and engineering teams on system and performance problems.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience administering Jira Server / Data Center and Confluence.
• Hands‑on expertise with Jira workflows, permissions, custom fields, users, groups, dashboards, JQL and reporting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot server issues, logs, indexing, performance bottlenecks and plugin conflicts.
• Understanding of Jira architecture, JVM basics and performance impact of customizations.
• Experience with REST API, ScriptRunner, webhooks and automation.
• Ability to write and maintain Groovy, Python or Bash scripts.
• Fluent Russian and at least intermediate English.
