Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, Identity and Access Management (IAM)

About the role

Rivian is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to design, build and enhance identity systems that protect the company’s people, applications, infrastructure and data. This hands‑on role combines deep IAM expertise with strong delivery habits, covering the full lifecycle from design through validation and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement improvements across Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, privileged access management, non‑human identities, PKI and secrets management.
• Develop and automate IAM workflows for access requests, approvals, provisioning, de‑provisioning and evidence generation.
• Build and maintain scripts, APIs, CLI tools and Microsoft Graph integrations to reduce manual processes.
• Create monitoring, runbooks and incident‑response procedures to increase service reliability and supportability.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, Enterprise Security, SOC and application owners to align identity controls with business needs.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for IAM‑related incidents.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in identity and access management or cybersecurity engineering.
• Proven ability to own moderately complex IAM projects from design to production.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams and supporting a Zero‑Trust access model.
