Accountant - Finance Department

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for an Accountant in its Finance Department in Novi Sad. The role sets up and leads in-house accounting, supporting daily accounting activities and compliance with local tax and accounting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities, including posting journal entries and keeping accurate records
• Comply with local tax and accounting requirements
• Help prepare reconciliations and carry out month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Follow changes in company policy, tax regulations and legislation
• Make sure original documents such as contracts, acts and VAT declarations align with the company's interests
• Support the preparation and coordination of the yearly external audit
• Ensure accounting and financial policies and procedures follow current legislation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Up to 2 years of experience in a multinational company in accounting
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including IFRS standards
• Accuracy, attention to detail and aptitude for numbers

Required skills

• General ledger functions
• Accounting software such as Pantheon or SAP
• MS Office, with a focus on Excel
