AI & Hyperautomation Engineer III

About the role

NCR Voyix, a global platform-powered leader in unified commerce for shopping and dining, is hiring an AI & Hyperautomation Engineer (Grade P3) in Belgrade, Serbia. The role provides strategic direction for automation, conversational AI and agentic AI solutions, and works with engineering teams to design, build and scale enterprise AI voice and chat agents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and scale AI voice and chat agents, and evaluate and enhance existing AI, automation and hyperautomation solutions while mentoring junior developers and AI engineers.
• Develop and maintain solution documentation, and automate processes and AI-driven workflows with tools such as Google CX Studio, Google ADK, UiPath, Power Automate, Azure, Python and others.
• Build conversational AI solutions (intent handling, flows, context, routing, escalation) and RAG solutions using knowledge repositories, vector databases and embeddings.
• Optimize prompts, instructions, guardrails and agent behavior, and implement GitHub, GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Test, deploy, monitor and support AI and automation solutions, troubleshoot issues and debug workflows and integrations.
• Create automated evaluation frameworks, datasets, synthetic scenarios and quality benchmarks, integrate them into CI/CD, and analyze results for regressions, hallucinations and retrieval gaps.
• Research and implement emerging AI, agent orchestration and hyperautomation technologies.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in software development, automation, conversational AI, AI engineering or hyperautomation.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, conversational AI and RAG.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Google CX Studio, Google ADK, UiPath, Power Automate Cloud/Desktop and modern automation platforms.
• GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Prompt engineering, conversational AI, LLM optimization and RAG architectures.
• Building AI voice and chat agents, agentic AI and multi-agent architectures.
• Automated evaluation frameworks, regression testing suites and AI quality scorecards.
• AI safety, guardrails, prompt injection prevention, hallucination detection and responsible AI.
• Preferred: Dialogflow, Microsoft Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, AI Services, Azure DevOps).
