Intermediate DevOps Engineer (Serbia)

About the role

iwconnect is looking for an Intermediate DevOps Engineer in Novi Sad, Serbia. The role suits someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, takes ownership of their work and wants to improve how infrastructure is built, managed and delivered. You will work with experienced engineers, developers and architects to build reliable, secure and scalable cloud solutions for international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build, configure and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure and/or AWS.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform and Terragrunt, creating reusable configurations and components.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm, including AKS and EKS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines or Jenkins.
• Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD or Flux.
• Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues and improve reliability with monitoring and logging tools.
• Apply cloud security best practices, manage access and secrets, and help optimise performance, scalability and costs.
• Work with developers and architects to improve delivery processes and promote DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of DevOps experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS; Azure experience is an advantage.
• Understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, secrets management and cloud security.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and to use Bash, Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an automation-first mindset and effective collaboration within a team.

Required skills

• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code; Terragrunt is an advantage.
• Docker, Kubernetes and Helm, ideally with AKS or EKS.
• CI/CD pipelines on at least one platform.
• GitOps with Argo CD or Flux.
• Nice to have: Azure/AWS/Kubernetes certifications, cloud databases, messaging/streaming platforms, Platform Engineering or FinOps knowledge.
