Analytics Engineer (Payments & Finance Data)

About the role

Simple Life is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the finance data domain, ensuring data quality, reliability, and usability for finance and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve finance data products, reports, alerts, and automations using Python, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.
• Build and run continuous monitoring for data freshness, completeness, quality, and reconciliation breaks.
• Investigate data incidents, drive resolution, and communicate findings to finance leadership.
• Develop LLM agents to accelerate analysis, tooling, documentation, and automation across the finance data stack.

Required profile

• Strong satisfaction from resolving reconciliation discrepancies and defending numbers to finance leadership.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to set direction, ask good questions, and keep stakeholders aligned.

Required skills

• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience building data models with dbt.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, Airflow, and financial or payments data.
• Experience owning reconciliation and data‑quality processes, including monitoring and incident resolution.
