API Delivery Lead

About the role

Amaris Consulting is looking for a senior API Delivery Lead to take end-to-end operational ownership of API onboarding and integration projects delivered through a MuleSoft API Gateway platform. The role combines technical delivery management with cross-team coordination, covering integration flows from initial requirements through production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the API onboarding lifecycle, including requirements gathering, integration analysis, implementation follow-up, testing and production readiness.
• Coordinate application teams, API providers and consumers, Enterprise Architecture, Akamai, networking, API Gateway engineers and Change Management.
• Drive backend connectivity, DNS, routing and network dependencies to resolution.
• Coordinate MuleSoft configuration delivery and track technical dependencies through JIRA.
• Follow up on end-to-end testing, ensuring issues have clear owners and are resolved before deployment.
• Prepare and maintain technical runbooks, integration documentation and Confluence pages.
• Coordinate ServiceNow Change Requests and production deployment readiness.
• Manage multiple integrations simultaneously, proactively addressing risks, dependencies and escalations.

Required profile

• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in integration, middleware, API management, infrastructure delivery or similar technical environments.
• Strong technical delivery management and project coordination experience across multiple IT teams.
• Ability to read integration and architecture designs and translate technical issues into clear actions and ownership.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with MuleSoft and API Gateway technologies.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, routing, proxies and reverse proxies.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificates and client credentials.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence and IT Change Management processes.
• Nice to have: Anypoint Platform and MuleSoft API Manager, other API gateways (Apigee, Azure API Management, Kong, AWS API Gateway), Akamai and ServiceNow, enterprise IAM, CI/CD and large international enterprise experience.
