Backend Engineer - Insurance

About the role

Join SAP Fioneer’s Insurance division as a Backend Engineer focused on infrastructure and DevOps. You will work remotely within a distributed, agile team, owning services from API design through deployment and cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production‑grade Spring Boot services using Kotlin.
• Manage PostgreSQL schemas, migrations and performance tuning.
• Deploy and operate services on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with Helm charts.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and ensure platform reliability.
• Monitor applications using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and handle alerts.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with structured working style.
