BambooHR Systems Specialist (3-month contract)

About the role

GoGlobal is hiring a BambooHR Systems Specialist for a 3-month consultancy engagement. The specialist reviews the company's existing BambooHR configuration, assesses its effectiveness and turns agreed business requirements and future-state HR processes into practical system solutions. The role is hands-on: configuring, testing and implementing improvements, not only recommending them. It sits under the strategic direction of the Fractional Head of People, in close partnership with the HR Process & Operations Consultant.

Key responsibilities

• Audit the current BambooHR setup (modules, permissions, data structures, fields, approval routes and integrations), identify gaps, duplicated processes and manual workarounds, and produce a prioritised improvement plan with quick wins and effort estimates.
• Build and optimise standard and custom reports and dashboards (headcount, turnover, absence, onboarding and agreed KPIs), and improve data definitions, completeness and governance.
• Configure workflows, notifications, approvals, forms and self-service across the employee lifecycle, and set up practical automations that reduce manual work.
• Test solutions with process owners, document exceptions and controls, and implement agreed configuration changes with testing, rollout and change communication.
• Train HR administrators and managers, write configuration and process documentation, and support system ownership and change control.

Required profile

• Demonstrable hands-on experience auditing, administering, configuring and optimising BambooHR, ideally in a growing or international organisation.
• Ability to translate HR process requirements into pragmatic system solutions and to deliver the configuration personally.
• Experience with HRIS audits, process mapping, testing, documentation and stakeholder training.
• Clear communicator, able to work independently with senior People stakeholders and HR operations teams.
• Desirable: familiarity with BambooHR integrations/API, payroll or benefits data flows, and multi-country HR processes.
