Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

HeadQuarters is a global start-up supporting US cannabis companies, with teams in Mexico, Serbia, the US, Colombia and the Philippines. This Learning and Development role has a people-partnering side and reports directly to the HR Manager. You will own how people at HQ learn and grow, working closely with the HR team and team leads, and will help the company move toward AI, both inside HR and in what is taught to other teams. The role builds development for a professional team spread across Mexico, Serbia and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Learning and development: design and run training programs for individual contributors and managers, deliver sessions live and remote to groups of 5 to 30 people, build learning paths tied to the leveling framework, and turn top performers' work into usable content.
• Onboarding: own the onboarding experience end to end, from offer to day 90, run onboarding sessions for new joiners across countries and keep improving it based on feedback.
• People partnering: run the 30, 60, 90 and 180-day check-ins, partner with team leads on development plans and support the performance review cycle twice a year.
• Work style: automate the parts that should not be done by hand and build reporting to show whether things are working.

Required profile

• At least 3 years in Learning and Development or training, building and delivering programs, not just coordinating them.
• Comfortable speaking in front of a group, since much of the job involves running a room.
• Professional English at C1/C2 level.
• Nice to have: experience with LMS platforms, partnering with teams, working in a fast-growing company, exposure to performance reviews, leveling or compensation structures, and using AI tools to speed up your own work.
