Customer Quality Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Quality Supervisor to lead our customer quality initiatives, resolve claims efficiently, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. The role combines hands‑on quality management with team leadership to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor external quality losses and support continuous reduction of cost of poor quality (COPQ) through daily quality management.
• Lead customer claim handling and medium‑to‑major quality issues, coordinating cross‑functional resources and ensuring timely escalation and corrective action implementation.
• Supervise the Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) team, organize claim analysis, promote risk sharing across plants, and guarantee timely corrective actions.
• Plan and execute customer quality audits to verify process compliance, product quality, and drive improvement.
• Manage resident engineers, third‑party inspectors, and sorting activities to ensure rapid containment and effective customer support.
• Develop team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and targeted training plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Quality or Project Management within the mechanical industry, or 3 + years in the automotive sector.
• Proficiency in English; German or French knowledge is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management, Cost Management, Project Management, and Quality Planning.
• Good knowledge of the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
