Distributor Business Development Manager

About the role

You will lead the partnership with assigned distributors for the Eucerin and Hansaplast brands, driving sales growth and long‑term collaboration. The role combines strategic planning, market analysis, and hands‑on support to maximise distributor performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy for each distributor, aligning with sales targets and market share goals.
• Support distributors in sales processes, negotiate with pharmacy chains and wholesale partners, and identify opportunities to expand numerical distribution.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse results, and implement corrective actions to optimise turnover and profit.
• Plan and control assortment, shelf space, and promotional activities according to company guidelines.
• Prepare and manage budgets, annual business plans, and cooperation frameworks.
• Maintain daily communication, issue required documents, and conduct market visits and store checks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to respond to market changes and ensure consistent execution.

Required profile

• University degree; a degree in Pharmacy, Medicine or Dentistry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical wholesale business, its operating model and commercial drivers.
• Proven experience negotiating with pharmacy chains and knowledge of their decision‑making processes.
• Ability to manage and motivate distributors to achieve sales, distribution and activation targets.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret KPIs and drive growth initiatives.
