EU Finance Analyst - R&D and Scientific Affairs

About the role

Viatris Healthcare d.o.o. in Belgrade is hiring a Finance Analyst to support the Research & Development (R&D) and Scientific Affairs functions. The role covers financial planning, analysis and reporting, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting and cost management to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse data from various sources to produce complex analytics
• Maintain, build and analyse budget and forecast models for expenditure changes
• Handle general financial accounting such as journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, capex management, accruals and provisions
• Coordinate general ledger month-end activities and reconciliations with reporting systems
• Prepare and submit financial reports meeting regional and corporate requirements
• Support R&D verticals and the R&D Lead with analysis of business performance and P&L drivers
• Analyse variances and discrepancies that need senior management attention

Required profile

• Accountancy qualification, or studying or considering it, or an equivalent
• Bachelor's degree, with finance, accounting or related experience preferred
• Previous experience in reporting and planning, business partnering and finance support to multiple client groups
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and knowledge of PowerPoint, Power BI and Word (essential)
• Comfortable working with large datasets
• Hyperion knowledge and experience is a plus
