GIS Data & Analytics Officer

About the role

Merkle, a dentsu company, is looking for a GIS Data & Analytics Officer (also called Mapping & GIS Analyst) in Belgrade. The role integrates the ICRC T&I team responsible for maintaining the GIS software and administering the GIS infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate the ICRC T&I team that maintains the GIS software
• Administer Esri-based servers: ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 on Windows, SDE databases on MS SQL Server, Survey123, ArcGIS Monitor, and GeoServer
• Perform maintenance tasks: install patches, renew certificates, monitor server resources and investigate performance issues such as server load and REST service optimisation
• Administer FME Flow: publish workspaces, debug failures and organise and optimise scheduled workspaces
• Work with Azure DevOps: Git repositories, deployment pipelines and containerised applications on OpenShift
• Provide end-user technical support
• Maintain and improve technical documentation and advise on GIS tool selection

Required profile

• Strong knowledge and experience of ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 in a Windows environment
• Experience with SDE databases on MS SQL Server and ArcGIS Monitor
• Basic to advanced use of ArcGIS Pro, Survey123 and Portal for ArcGIS components (Maps, Layers, Experience Builder)
• Additional GIS programming skills: Python, ArcPy, JavaScript / TypeScript, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js
