Head of Inventory Management (Russian Speaker)

About the role

Whizz rents e‑bikes to delivery couriers in New York and needs a dedicated leader to own the spare‑parts inventory flow. Reporting directly to the CEO and Operations Director, you will centralise purchasing, stock counts and warehouse processes across the New Jersey main warehouse and city shops, while working fully remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Align physical stock with system records at the main warehouse and city shops; establish regular cycle counts.
• Define minimum and maximum stock levels for key components and drive purchasing to eliminate part shortages.
• Document and standardise warehouse processes (receiving, transfers, write‑offs, counts) and ensure team adherence.
• Launch and manage a used‑parts refurbishment programme, rebuilding expensive components for redeployment.
• Lead the inventory team, set priorities and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance the warehouse module of Whizz’s custom ERP, specifying requirements and validating functionality.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably in spare‑parts, automotive, service or e‑commerce environments.
• Proven ability to work with an ERP or WMS and identify improvement opportunities.
• Fluent in English and Russian; able to overlap at least 4 hours with New York business hours.
• Self‑starter who can create processes and drive teams to follow them.

Required skills

• ERP/WMS implementation and optimisation.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis.
• Use of AI tools for workflow automation.
• Knowledge of inventory costing methods such as weighted‑average or FIFO (nice‑to‑have).
