Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cleanliness and visual presentation onboard. This senior hospitality leader ensures premium service standards are met consistently across all cabin and public areas.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall guest experience related to cleanliness, ensuring seamless execution of premium service.
• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness of all shipboard areas, guaranteeing the highest level of expectation.
• Lead, train, and develop housekeeping supervisors and crew, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and brand standards, including USPH and SQM guidelines.
• Apply progressive disciplinary actions, coaching, and performance management to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping managerial experience, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, safety procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
• Experience in talent assessment, leadership development, and coaching of front‑line staff.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost containment, inventory management, and financial planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos software platforms.
