About the role
As an Industrial Cybersecurity Specialist you will protect Siemens Energy’s products, solutions and customers by assessing risks, defining security standards and recommending advanced technologies for industrial environments. You will develop security concepts, support proof‑of‑concept implementations and work with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse the energy threat landscape, provide expert guidance and define a technical security baseline for the Siemens Energy portfolio.
- Evaluate external cybersecurity services and recommend solutions such as network architecture, log aggregation, SIEM, IDS and anomaly detection.
- Develop and document security concepts, guidelines and proof‑of‑concept implementations for industrial domains.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on security technology and standards.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in computer science, industrial automation, cybersecurity, electronics or related field.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control system components, industrial protocols and IT security principles (CIA, defense‑in‑depth, network zones, hardening).
- Experience with network technologies (routing, monitoring, VLAN) and security mechanisms (TLS/SSL, IDS, firewalls).
- Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, including command‑line usage.
- Fluency in English and ability to work in an international environment.
