Platform Engineer – Remote

About the role

Join CloudLinux’s Automation & Management Services cell as a Platform Engineer, working remotely to own and improve a set of platform services. You will ensure reliability, automate operations, and support product teams across the infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Run and maintain the observability platform, monitoring cost, capacity, and alerts.
• Operate GitLab and CI runner fleet: upgrades, capacity planning, backups, and restore drills.
• Keep other platform services healthy with proper monitoring and runbooks.
• Deploy new services from design to production as code, with documentation and backups.
• Support developer requests: access, onboarding, pipeline issues, exporters, dashboards.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Write technical documentation for engineers outside the team.
• Leverage AI assistants for task delegation, reviewing their output before production use.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in infrastructure, platform or SRE roles with ownership of a production service.
• Strong Linux systems administration on bare metal and virtual machines.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in production via GitOps.
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Ansible and Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Deep knowledge of GitLab administration and CI pipelines.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and writing PromQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
