Product Owner (Recommendation Systems)

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Product Owner to own the post‑purchase experience for paying customers. You will be responsible for driving activation, matching, relevance and overall experience from the moment a user pays until they achieve a quality match.

Key responsibilities

• Define and test hypotheses to improve offer volume, recommendation relevance and invite rates for paying users.
• Design mechanics such as gamification, nudges and reminders to bring users back into conversations.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, analysts and data/ML specialists to ship features quickly and efficiently.
• Run experiments, analyze results and iterate to scale successful solutions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with B2C customer journey design, activation or first‑session experience.
• Background in marketplaces, dating/social discovery, e‑commerce catalogs or any product built around discovery, matching or recommendation.
• Proven ability to formulate hypotheses, define requirements and drive delivery.
• Comfort with both qualitative and quantitative product research and A/B testing.
