Technology & Cloud Architect (Azure)

About the role

UNIQA is seeking a proactive Technology & Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation and operation of shared regional cloud and platform capabilities across its SEE markets. The role focuses on Azure landing zones, automation, and DevOps practices to support the company’s growth and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate shared regional cloud and platform capabilities, including landing zones, automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, CI/CD pipelines, reusable deployment templates and onboarding patterns.
• Implement Azure landing zone components and develop reusable IaC templates (Terraform/ARM).
• Automate deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Define and implement CI/CD patterns for infrastructure and platform changes.
• Support cloud onboarding of entities and workloads across the SEE region.
• Maintain governance, tagging, policies and monitoring integrations.
• Provide DevOps support for cloud‑based workloads and platform operations.
• Create operational handover documentation, runbooks and knowledge‑sharing material.
• Collaborate with local teams, vendors, architects and operations to build, configure, deploy, troubleshoot and support cloud/platform components.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, hybrid environments or enterprise IT architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including landing zones, networking, IAM/RBAC, Azure Policy, governance and security principles.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud solution design, implementation, workload migration and cloud adoption practices.
