Back End Developer

About the role

SiGMA Group is building a brand-new eLearning platform and needs a skilled Back-End Engineer to design and deliver serverless, cloud-native services. You will work with a cross-functional team to create scalable, secure APIs and data pipelines that power the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain serverless back-end components using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and integrate services with AWS managed offerings such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS and S3.
• Design, optimise and query relational and NoSQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Create and secure RESTful APIs, handling authentication, authorization and API-security best practices.
• Write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews and ensure high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues across back-end services.
• Monitor application performance, reliability and security, implementing improvements as needed.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Back-End Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration within agile, cross-functional teams.
