About the role

DP World is looking for a Dispatcher to join its terminal team in Novi Sad, Serbia. The role ensures smooth execution of operational plans, coordinating equipment, resources and workforce to support safe and efficient port operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor implementation of operational plans and work orders, ensuring timely execution.
• Coordinate equipment, resources and workforce with port supervisors.
• Allocate and track operational activities to meet agreed timelines and standards.
• Communicate proactively with cargo owners, freight forwarders, shipping agents and other supply‑chain stakeholders.
• Prioritise tasks in agreement with the Chief of Operations and adjust plans when disturbances occur.
• Provide instructions to shippers, coordinate vessel loading/unloading and manage vessel movements.
• Use the River Information System (RIS) to locate and track vessels and maintain radio contact.
• Sign letters of readiness, keep accurate vessel entry/exit records and prepare recurring reports.
• Update loaded/unloaded quantities in the port logbook using operational software.

Required profile

• Completed IV education level in a technical or social field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in ports & terminals operations, road or rail transportation.
• Strong communication skills in Serbian; English at B1 level is an advantage.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Solution‑oriented attitude with strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and attention to detail.
