Junior Frontend Developer – Vanilla JavaScript

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to join BLADE’s security intelligence platform team in Belgrade. You will help shape the user interface of a cutting‑edge AI‑driven product that filters security log noise and highlights real threats. This role focuses on building and maintaining the UI using plain HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript without any front‑end frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review and refactor vanilla HTML, CSS and ES6+ JavaScript code for the BLADE web application.
• Directly manipulate the DOM, handle events, perform fetch requests and render dynamic content.
• Integrate frontend functionality with existing PHP back‑end services and SQL queries.
• Debug and resolve UI issues, optimise performance using browser developer tools.
• Collaborate with the development team through Git workflows, including branching, merging and conflict resolution.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands‑on experience working with the DOM, event handling and dynamic rendering.
• Familiarity with Git command‑line operations and basic branching strategies.
• Ability to read and modify simple PHP code and execute basic SQL queries.
• Curiosity to investigate performance bottlenecks and ask thoughtful questions.
• Attention to detail and confidence to suggest improvements.
