CFO Advisory Consultant (FAAS)

About the role

EY's CFO Advisory Services (FAAS) team in Belgrade combines finance and accounting knowledge with data, automation and AI to help clients build trust and achieve clearer, more transparent finance processes. As a Consultant in FAAS, you will join the Assurance practice and help clients navigate complex financial reporting, covering accounting, reporting and regulatory challenges linked to events such as transactions, IFRS conversions or audit remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, using data analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
• Advise on accounting policy changes, GAAP conversions and new standards, including technical accounting memoranda.
• Help clients build analytical tools, financial models and AI-enabled insights for better decision-making and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI, redesigning finance processes and reporting structures.
• Ensure engagements follow the firm's methodologies, professional standards and local regulations.
• Review technology-enabled outputs with professional scepticism, applying IFRS knowledge and sound judgement.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in consulting, audit or industry roles related to finance and accounting.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and local GAAP, with experience in technical accounting analysis.
• Prior exposure to consolidation, GAAP conversions, finance transformation, data analytics or technology-enabled finance projects is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP/EPM tools (e.g. SAP or Oracle), Power BI, data analytics, automation or generative AI tools is a plus.
• Proactive, structured working style, excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality deliverables.
