Deputy Accounting Manager

About the role

Nestlé Operational Services Worldwide SA is looking for a Deputy Accounting Manager in Belgrade, Serbia, within the Finance & Control team. The role reports to the Accounting Manager Serbia & Montenegro and ensures accurate, timely accounting in line with company procedures and Serbian statutory requirements, while supporting accounting and tax activities and contributing to process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accounting entries and allocations are accurate, booked on time and compliant with procedures and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly tax declarations for VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax and ECO tax.
• Prepare annual financial statements for local statutory reporting and prepare the CIT declaration.
• Support transfer pricing activities and ensure intercompany charges are accurately recorded.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts, including assets, vendors, customers and tax institutions.
• Take part in internal and external audits, controls and annual inventory activities.
• Work with stakeholders to improve the quality and availability of data on revenues, expenses, assets and taxes.
• Support other departments on accounting matters and help define and improve processes for revenues, expenses, property taxes, customers and suppliers.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of practical experience in Serbian accounting, preferably in a multinational or production company.
• Excellent knowledge of Serbian tax regulations.
• University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong financial knowledge and ability to coordinate, prioritise and plan work to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
