Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Fully Remote

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to lead one of its core enterprise products. This fully remote position offers the chance to shape the technical strategy of a global social discovery platform and accelerate time‑to‑market for innovative features.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and redesign the current software development lifecycle (SDLC) to eliminate bottlenecks and improve delivery speed.
• Design and implement engineering and project frameworks that ensure predictable, high‑quality feature delivery.
• Act as the primary technical partner for the product organization, aligning engineering effort with business goals.
• Set up, scale, and manage robust SDLC processes, introducing Agile, Scrum, or Kanban practices as needed.
• Maintain a single source of truth for delivery status, risks, and timelines.
• Synchronize cross‑functional teams, resolve dependencies, and build structured execution systems.
• Validate product requirements against technical feasibility and provide data‑driven feedback to stakeholders.
• Present technical strategies, progress, and risks to C‑level executives.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in SDLC setup, optimization, and delivery management.
• Strong grasp of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and other project frameworks.
• Proven ability to align engineering work with product and business objectives.
• Experience driving data‑driven engineering decisions using product analytics.
• Excellent architectural understanding to assess feasibility of product requests.
