Cloud Engineer – Azure & CI/CD Specialist

About the role

UNIQA is looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, configure and monitor cloud‑based infrastructure across its SEE markets. You will work with Azure services, automation tools and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, scalable solutions that support the company’s data‑driven, customer‑centric strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and monitor virtual machines, storage, networking and security policies in Azure.
• Automate resource provisioning and scaling using scripts and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance with Azure DevOps and GitLab.
• Identify valuable data sources, automate collection processes and deliver solutions based on specifications.
• Research, troubleshoot and optimise cloud services to minimise downtime and cost.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to colleagues with less cloud experience.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong command of English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Azure architecture and services.
• Proficiency in GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) – a plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as ARM templates or Terraform – a plus.
