Director of Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Director of Accounting to lead and optimise the company’s financial operations. The role will manage global accounting processes, ensure regulatory compliance, build a high‑performing team and deliver accurate, timely financial insights to support growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including revenue recognition, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets and cash management.
• Lead the global controllership function and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Own the monthly financial close process and deliver accurate consolidated reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application.
• Oversee audits, tax compliance and liaise with insurance and audit partners.
• Collaborate with FP&A to align metrics, forecasts and budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• CPA qualification with a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in software/SaaS or technology environments and with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication and project‑management skills.
• Experience deploying accounting systems and working with ERP solutions (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and advanced Excel.
