Finance & Accounting Associate

About the role

HeadQuarters is a global start-up that supports U.S. cannabis companies with finance, sales, operations and logistics services. This Finance & Accounting Associate position is aimed at recent graduates and early-career professionals, working alongside experienced colleagues on the daily financial operations of U.S.-based clients. It is a fully remote role.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations, including reconciliations, invoicing, cash and payment applications and journal entries
• Assist with AP and AR processes, aging reports, data entry, documentation and month-end close activities
• Deliver accurate, complete work on time, keeping error rates low and contributing ideas to improve workflows
• Manage recurring financial deliverables with increasing independence and collaborate with team leads and peers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics
• At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Attention to detail, good organization and communication skills, and advanced English
