Finance Operations & FP&A Lead

About the role

Act as the operational backbone of finance in a lean, fast‑moving e‑commerce company. This is an individual‑contributor position with strong process ownership and real growth potential, not a traditional Head of Finance role.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly P&L, budget vs actual, cash‑flow forecasting and KPI reporting for the COO/CEO.
• Proactively monitor P&L, reconciliations and margin data to catch inconsistencies early.
• Map and refine finance processes, closing gaps and tightening controls across internal and external systems.
• Drive automation and AI adoption to reduce manual work and free capacity for higher‑value analysis.
• Partner with Commercial and Supply Chain on COGS visibility and SKU/channel‑level profitability.
• Oversee payroll operations via automated tools and external providers.
• Act as a financial advisor to Commercial, Purchasing, Operations and Warehousing teams.
• Continuously improve finance workflows, documentation and automation.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in FP&A, controlling, finance operations, audit or controller roles.
• Fluent English (C1); Spanish is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining P&L, cash‑flow, budgets and forecasts.
• Experience working with external accountants, tax advisors or accounting providers.
• Background in multi‑entity, multi‑currency, marketplace/e‑commerce/retail or logistics businesses.
• Proven track record of automating finance processes.

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
• Power BI and Looker.
• SQL.
• Python.
• Automation tools such as Make, Zapier and APIs.
• AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).
