Full Stack Software Developer

About the role

A small engineering organization is looking for a software developer who enjoys building products that solve real business problems and cares about how they run once live. The role covers both product work and the systems behind it, with a pragmatic stack: TypeScript and React on the frontend, and Scala, Python, Node.js and Go across services, all on AWS. It is fully remote, with availability in US time zones (EST minimum). The gross annual salary is $30,000 - $40,000 USD.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern web applications, from UI through API and data layer, and integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Develop new product features, build internal tools and automations, and turn business requirements into reliable software.
• Troubleshoot issues, improve performance and reliability, and take part in code reviews.
• Work with AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53) and contribute to infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Help maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments, and support monitoring, alerting, logging and tracing.
• Investigate production issues, apply security practices (least privilege, encryption, secrets management) and watch AWS spend.

Required profile

• Several years building and shipping production web applications end to end.
• Strong programming fundamentals in a modern typed or backend language, able to get productive in a new one quickly.
• Comfortable debugging production issues, reading logs and metrics, and improving reliability.
• Initiative, ownership, clear communication and a product mindset.

Required skills

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript and a modern component framework (React or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and infrastructure as code.
• SQL and relational databases, REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Git and pull-request-based collaboration.
• Nice to have: TypeScript, Terraform, container orchestration, observability tooling, AI service integration and SOC 2 exposure.
