General Counsel – International Gaming Company

About the role

ZeptoLab is seeking a General Counsel to act as a trusted legal partner across its global operations. This senior, hands‑on position will guide the business through complex legal matters in multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on the UK, while leveraging AI and modern legal technologies to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate, commercial and regulatory issues across international jurisdictions, especially the UK.
• Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including publishing, licensing, IP, SaaS, procurement and strategic partnerships.
• Identify legal risks, provide pragmatic recommendations and support business decisions.
• Lead cross‑border legal projects, corporate governance and international compliance initiatives.
• Manage intellectual property matters such as trademarks, copyrights, licensing and IP protection.
• Drive GDPR compliance, privacy governance, data‑processing agreements and cross‑border data transfers.
• Continuously improve contract management, legal documentation standards and legal operations.
• Support statutory audits, due‑diligence projects and regulatory reviews.
• Introduce AI‑powered workflows for contract drafting, legal research, document review, compliance monitoring and knowledge management.
• Collaborate with external legal advisors in various jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Extensive senior in‑house legal experience in an international company.
• Proven background in the game development industry.
• Broad international legal expertise with strong UK corporate and commercial law knowledge.
• Deep experience with commercial contracts, licensing and intellectual property.
• Ability to work with external counsel to navigate unfamiliar jurisdictions.
• Business‑oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder communication.
• Strong ownership, willingness to take responsibility beyond a narrow area.
• Passion for improving legal processes through AI and modern technologies.
• Fluency in English; Russian is a plus.
