HR & Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Specialist to join Aleph’s People Service Delivery team in Europe. The role supports employees and managers across multiple European countries, with a focus on the Baltic and Balkan regions, delivering accurate and compliant HR and payroll services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for People Service Delivery queries, handling requests from employees, managers and internal stakeholders.
• Perform data entry and maintain records in HR systems according to defined processes.
• Execute country‑specific HR activities such as generating employee contracts and ensuring compliance with local labour regulations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end monthly payroll process for several European countries, coordinating with external payroll partners and internal Finance, Legal and HR teams.
• Review salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, overtime and statutory payments, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring data integrity across HRIS and payroll platforms.
• Contribute to process improvements, HR system enhancements and regional People Service Delivery initiatives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience supporting HR and payroll for four or more European countries.
• Strong understanding of local tax, labour, social security and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a high attention to detail.
• Service‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
• Experience with data entry, payroll calculations and reporting.
• Knowledge of European payroll legislation and statutory reporting.
