IT Security Expert

About the role

UNIQA is seeking an experienced IT Security Expert to strengthen its cyber security framework, manage security risks and ensure a secure, resilient IT environment across the SEE region. You will work within a collaborative, agile team to protect critical systems and data while supporting the company’s growth and innovation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve cyber security risk management processes, strategies and policies.
• Monitor emerging threats, trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
• Perform daily security operations using tools such as SIEM, PAM, firewalls, EDR and DLP.
• Manage and report security incidents, providing relevant updates to senior management.
• Support application security throughout the development lifecycle and conduct security risk assessments.
• Deliver security awareness training and collaborate with internal stakeholders and service providers to enhance the overall security posture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in risk management, information security or related IT roles.
• University degree in a technology‑related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of information and cyber security principles and frameworks.
• Experience with application security and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and software development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a high level of personal integrity.
